Glossary FCL (Full Container Load)

FCL, or Full Container Load, refers to a shipping method in which a container is filled entirely with one customer's cargo. This shipping method is ideal for customers who need to transport large quantities of goods at one time, as it is more cost-effective than shipping smaller quantities via LCL, or Less than Container Load. FCL also provides greater security for the goods being shipped, as the container is sealed and only opened by the customer at the destination. However, because FCL requires the use of an entire container, it may not be the most efficient or cost-effective option for customers with smaller shipments.
