Glossary HC Container (High Cube Container)

An HC container, also known as a High Cube container, is a type of maritime shipping container that is taller than a standard container. It typically comes in sizes of 20 feet (HC20) or 40 feet (HC40), and is about one foot higher than a standard container, allowing for greater internal cargo capacity and weight distribution. As a result, HC containers can transport more cargo and provide more efficient maritime transport and are particularly useful for transporting larger products or machinery that require more height.
