Glossary Route

The term route in ocean trade refers to the regular lane between the port of loading and the destination. In bills of lading or sales contracts, it is recorded in the form of from - to -. In particular, there are those that make direct route transport conditionally and those that permit intermediate connections and transshipments. Therefore, routes should be clearly indicated in the contract.
