Glossary Sea Waybill

A Sea Waybill is a document used as evidence of a contract between a shipper and a carrier in maritime cargo transportation. This document records information such as the shipper and consignee, loading and unloading ports, and transportation details and conditions of the cargo. Unlike a Bill of Lading, a Sea Waybill does not indicate ownership of goods and the cargo can be released using this document alone, making it a convenient and fast method of transportation in the internationlal trade.
