Glossary Cross Docking

Cross Docking is a logistics system that allows goods received at warehouses or distribution centers to be shipped directly without being stored as inventory in the warehouse. The role of this system is to sort the goods by destination immediately upon receipt and prepare them for shipping. This type of warehouse or distribution center is also called a pass-through logistics center.
