[US]11.24 US, Severe storms and equipment outages cause flight disruptions at airports
Severe storms and a communications equipment outage caused major flight disruptions at DFW(Dallas/Fort Worth) and Love Field airports on November 24. As of 1:30 p.m., DFW reported approximately 100 cancellations and over 765 delays, while Love Field had 69 cancellations and 123 delays. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued ground stops at both airports between 12:30 and 1:45 p.m. due to the equipment outage, the cause of which remains unknown. Flight disruptions were exacerbated by severe storms in North Texas, making it one of the busiest and most challenging travel days during the Thanksgiving holiday season.

The Chattogram unit of SKOP(Bangladesh Workers–Employees Unity Council) declared blockades on the approach roads to Chattogram port and protest programs across the Chattogram division. The protests were sparked by leasing out New Mooring Container, Laldia Char, and Pangaon port terminals to foreign operators. Labour leaders claimed this would severely harm the economy and could result in 90 percent of port workers losing jobs. Blockades are scheduled for Wednesday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Agrabad, Boropole, and Mailer Matha near the port.

[France·Netherlands]11.22 Flight cancellations at France, Netherlands: airport disrupt operations.
Major flight disruptions occurred on November 22 across key European airports, primarily CDG and AMS, involving airlines such as Air France, KLM, and Brussels Airlines. Over 26 flights were cancelled, stranding thousands of passengers and causing logistical challenges for those with onward connections or business meetings. Critical international and regional routes were impacted, including flights from LA, Toronto, Seattle, and various European cities. Under EU Regulation 261/2004, affected passengers are entitled to rerouting, refunds, and potentially compensation for delays. Airlines have yet to provide clarity on the reasons for the cancellations.

OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg is experiencing significant operational failures just days before the G20 summit. Issues include power outages, water cuts, broken baggage systems, offline scanners, and manual passenger processing. These disruptions have caused cascading flight delays and baggage mishandling, impacting passengers and airline schedules. Fuel shortages, hygiene issues from water outages, and security breaches due to lax access control during power failures are also reported.
