Samsung SDS Receives IATA’s CEIV Lithium Batteries Certification Based on years of logistics experience in the battery industry, Samsung SDS has been providing specialized end-to-end battery transportation services that meet international transportation standards by utilizing accumulated data and specialized standard operating processes for each dangerous goods cargo (DG Cargo*). By leveraging the operational know-how of global dangerous goods organizations and strategic partnerships with shipping lines and airlines, Samsung SDS secures optimal transportation infrastructure and storage equipment for cargo, which ensures stable transportation based on its all-around visibility management system. In particular, Samsung SDS has secured abnormal cases by type of occurrence and their countermeasures to prevent recurrence based on Cello Square's irregularity management platform, and systematically manages this information using generative AI.
As a result of these efforts, in November 2023, Samsung SDS was awarded CEIV Lithium Batteries Certification by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), demonstrating its outstanding lithium battery transportation capabilities differentiated from other companies.
