태평양 동향항로의 선박 정시운항성이 8월에 개선되었지만, 미국의 가장 큰 무역 노선의 정시률은 여전히 국제 수준에 미치지 못하고 있다.

해운전문분석업체 씨인텔리전스(Sea-Intelligence)가 수요일 발표한GLP(Global Liner Performance) 보고서에 의하면, 아시아발 미서안착 운항의 정시성이 7월보다 2.9% 포인트 상승하여29.5%를 기록한 반면, 아시아발 미동안착의 정시운항성은 1.5% 포인트 상승한 17.2%를 나타냈다.

주요 동-서 무역 노선의 공급망 병목현상의 완화로, 8월의 전세계 선박 정시성은 7월보다 5.8% 포인트 상승한 46.2%를 기록했는데, 이는 전월 대비 가장 큰 상승 폭이었다.

Schedule reliability from Asia to the West Coast increased 2.9 percentage points from July to 29.5 percent, while vessel on-time performance on the Asia-East Coast trade lane rose 1.5 percentage points to 17.2 percent, according to the Global Liner Performance Report released Wednesday by Sea-Intelligence Maritime Analysis.

“This is now the fourth consecutive month that schedule reliability has improved month over month,” Sea-Intelligence said. The backlog in Los Angeles-Long Beach on Tuesday was nine, down from the record 109 in January, according to the Marine Exchange of Southern California. However, the largest US port complex continues to experience record rail container dwell times on its marine terminals due to congestion at inland rail ramps in Chicago, Memphis, and Dallas that has forced railroads to limit the capacity they deploy to the West Coast.
