[Europe] Swissport opens fresh cargo center at Liege Airport
- In Aug, ground handler Swissport opened a dedicated temp-controlled storage facility at Liege Airport, the airport’s only fresh cargo facility, with capacityfor 40 ULDs at 2–8°C.
- Aimed at the Dutch flower market, the facility serves as a refrigerated hub for intra-Europe road transport, enhancing import flows. Swissport is developing Liège into a global cold chain hub, extending to flowers, pharmaceuticals, and e-commerce.
