Registration dateSEP 25, 2025

Hello. 😊
It’s Samsung SDS Digital Forwarding Service, Cello Square!

Samsung SDS Cello Square participated in the REAL Summit 2025 at the COEX Convention Center on September 11, 2025.

REAL Summit 2025 is Samsung SDS’s flagship customer invitation conference, where global customers and partners share AI core technologies, enterprise solutions, and successful practices across various industries. On-site, the event featured specialized sessions on manufacturing/distribution and service/finance/public sector/defense/logistics, as well as sponsor booths showcasing the latest IT technologies, solutions, and real-world cases. It was an informative event for global logistics, supply chain innovation, and digital transformation strategies.

On this day, at Real Summit 2025, Samsung SDS presented its AI agent-based corporate innovation strategy and unveiled an AI full-stack service strategy that encompasses the entire spectrum of infrastructure, consulting, platforms, and solutions for enabling AI transformation of enterprise customers.

01

Especially during the Logistics Breakout Session, we shared cases of how generative AI services are currently being applied and utilized in Cello Square, and also proposed Cello Square’s vision of future logistics services leveraging AI Agents. Below is a glimpse of the Cello Square session at the REAL Summit 2025, which drew many attendees.

Evolving Overseas Expansion Strategies With Cello Square In the Era of Supply Chains Restructuring | Samsung SDS Vice President, Choi Bong-gi
02

The first session was led by Vice President Choi Bong-gi, who presented the direction for innovative strategies for overseas expansion in the era of supply chain restructuring. He elaborated that corporates’ overseas expansion has evolved into an integrated strategy including cost reduction, resilience, sustainability, and digital innovation. Recently, due to the pandemic and U.S.-China disputes, stability is prioritized over efficiency, and ESG management has become essential, marking the transition to a deglobalization era.

The future model of companies’ overseas expansion will transition to an intelligent supply chain where companies of all sizes are connected in real-time, fostering collaborative competition, entering the era of the e-Cosystem. To meet the demands of the e-Cosystem era, which calls for on-demand logistics services, AI platform-based hyper-connectivity/hyper-automation, and carbon-neutral logistics, logistics services should evolve beyond Decision Intelligence into future-oriented logistics services. Additionally, the uncertainty of such supply chain reshaping can be overcome through the speed of innovation, and specific examples of how this can be achieved with Cello Square were detailed in additional sessions.

Data-Driven Logistics Innovation Cases | Samsung SDS Team Leader, Kim Chan-yong
03

Logistics Consulting Team Leader Kim Chan-yong demonstrated that through Predictable AI and Generative AI, Cello Square is driving data-driven operational innovation in forecasting, risk response, logistics costs, international transportation, and warehouse operations, focusing on detailed case studies and actual screen demonstrations.

Cello Square introduced its Best Practice (BP) cases in areas such as cargo tracking, performance monitoring, risk response, optimization, automation, and logistics cost reduction. Notably, Cello Square provides end-to-end cargo tracking that includes location, temperature, humidity, and shock across the entire supply chain, as well as real-time tracking screens for air and sea freight. Additionally, he introduced various logistics monitoring dashboards designed to sense risks and provide operational insights. Closer support for data of core lanes is available through focused monitoring.

Through Cello Square's Data-driven Logistics Innovation, we support digital transformation of customers and enhance their logistics competitiveness, which are the key values Cello Square offers to customers in the era of generative AI.

Samsung SDS Logistics Operation Meets AIㅣKim Sung-gon, Vice President at Samsung SDS
04

Sung-gon Kim, VP of Cello Square Operation Team, said that data-driven logistics services can be realized through Analytical AI and Generative AI, enabling system-based logistics operations, timely decision-making, and data analysis. In addition, they create integrated insights from both internal and external data.

Cello Square collects data from various sources in the supply chain, aids customers, operators, and partners to make optimal decisions by providing visualization and predictive analytics. Moreover, it offers solutions to address rising logistics costs, such as reducing the portion of high freight containers, through integrated material transportation simulation.

Furthermore, by utilizing various data sources and analysis techniques, Cello Square provides accurate predictive information, including POL and POD. Kim also added that it also offers a wide range of predictive information, from ETD, ETA, to port skip risk sensing, to ensure sufficient time for proactive risk responses.

Generative AI (GenAI) has been adopted and operated in the entire process of logistics services, encompassing logistics operations automation through automatic data extraction and refinement, logistics risk detection based on analysis results, automated reporting, and conversational services for customers.

Logistics operations are evolving from the era of data-driven analysis to the era of intelligent orchestration, where industry-specific AI and autonomous AI agents are driving innovation in operations.

Logistics AI Agent: The Present and Future | Moon Shin-jung, Team Leader at Samsung SDS
05

Shin-jung Moon, Team Leader of Planning Team, stated that the logistics industry is evolving toward “actionable” AI agent structure as analysis/generation based on the data cannot fully replace actual tasks alone. Gartner, IBM, and McKinsey are also in line with the forecast, projecting an increase in the utilization of AI agents in the Supply Chain and Logistics sectors.

Adoption of AI agents in the logistics sector lags behind other industry sectors due to system standardization, timely data acquisition, and legal regulations. However, they can still be utilized across various areas such as local transportation, international transportation, and warehouse management.

In local transportation, they are utilized for truck allocation management, visibility management, and transportation cost settlement. In practice, they not only classify simple data but also monitor documents and data in real time; besides, they are applied for automatic responses based on an understanding of issues. In international transportation, they are used for export and import document processing Copilot, and risk management. In logistics where global issues play a crucial role, they automatically collect global news and various data from carriers and ports in order to extract insights for predicting and responding to risks.

The future development direction of AI agents is expected to advance to the point where they can independently plan, execute, and notify customers, enabling end-to-end processing.

06

On this day, Cello Square met and communicated with many customers through various sessions, on-site consultations, and booths. In the future, Samsung SDS Cello Square will continue to listen more closely to the voices of customers and grow together with you through GenAI-powered innovative services. 🙌
