Square Now Samsung SDS and Atomy Launch Smart Logistics Center in Yantai

September 23rd, the Atomy International Logistics Center in Yantai, Shandong Province, was officially put into operation and a grand opening ceremony was held.

The logistics center was jointly created by Samsung SDS and Atomy, with a total area of 22,903 square meters. It introduces Samsung SDS's advanced Cello Square international logistics system, leveraging intelligent warehousing technology to achieve efficient storage, precise sorting, and fast delivery of goods. This significantly shortens the cycle from storage to delivery, providing Atomy members with more quality and efficient logistics services.

As an important international logistics hub for Atomy, the launch ceremony attracted widespread attention from various sectors. Attendees included Consul General Ryu Chang-soo of the Korean Consulate General in Qingdao, Chairman Park Han-gil of Atomy Group, Vice President Koo il O of Samsung SDS Logistics Business Division, Executive Choi Boh-Kyu of Samsung SDS China, and leaders from the Yantai Korean Business and Commerce Association, as well as specially invited member customers of Atomy, all of whom witnessed this significant moment.

Since signing the logistics strategic cooperation agreement in 2024, Samsung SDS has been fully engaged in the planning, construction, and operational preparation of logistics centers with the goal of building a smart logistics system, striving to create a demonstration project for intelligent logistics.

The establishment of the international logistics center will further optimize the product transportation chain, providing members with an even more exceptional shopping experience.

As the ceremonial cannon fired, the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Eido International Logistics Center came to a successful conclusion. The attending guests then toured the warehouse, gaining a detailed understanding of the full operational process of the goods.

According to the person in charge of the Samsung SDS warehouse, the warehouse is divided into receiving, operation, storage, and collection areas, and orders are efficiently processed based on the Cello Square system. The system can intelligently optimize picking routes, complete precise sorting, and quickly verify order information. The entire packaging process is under video surveillance to ensure standardized and traceable operations.

It is worth mentioning that the system can automatically recommend suitable packaging materials based on the size of the goods, effectively reducing waste and practicing the concept of low carbon and environmental protection. After BCR weight verification, the system will intelligently match express resources and optimize the last-mile delivery solution. The transportation vehicles are equipped with GPS positioning systems to ensure comprehensive transportation safety and timeliness.

In addition, Samsung SDS and Atomy have established a comprehensive management system that covers warehouse safety, temperature and humidity control, functional area management, and other aspects to ensure the safety of warehouse operations. Both parties will continue to deepen their cooperation, strictly adhere to operational standards, strengthen safety measures, and ensure that every item is delivered safely.
