Square Now Samsung SDS to Acquire Woojung Air,
an Air Cargo Consolidation Specialist

Strengthening air forwarding capabilities ... Integrated operations at Incheon Airport and Cello Square integration to elevate our services

On October 12, Samsung SDS signed a share purchase agreement to acquire 100% of Woojung Air, Korea's No. 1 air cargo consolidation specialist. Samsung SDS has been assessing the feasibility of the acquisition since the first half of this year and plans to complete the remaining procedures by the end of this year.

About Woojung Air

Founded in 1999, Woojung Air is Korea's No. 1 air cargo consolidation specialist. It holds air space operation contracts with Korean flag carriers and major foreign airlines, and owns a logistics center at Incheon Airport equipped with a Commercial Shipper Terminal, as well as its own air cargo operations system. Based on these assets, Woojung Air provides air transport logistics services.

What We Expect from the Acquisition

Through this acquisition, Samsung SDS expects to secure the capability to operate and optimally consolidate not only both companies' cargo from Korea but also cargo from across Asia transiting through Incheon Airport, a strategically important hub airport in Asia. By leveraging Woojung Air's Commercial Shipper Terminal infrastructure to provide in-house security screening services, we also expect to improve time and cost efficiency.

In addition, we expect to strengthen our air transport operations by integrating Woojung Air's iNomad system with Cello Square, and to accelerate data-driven task automation.

Our Commitment

Once the acquisition is completed, Woojung Air will become a subsidiary of Samsung SDS Logistics, specializing in air cargo consolidation. Samsung SDS will combine Woojung Air's infrastructure with Cello Square to enhance our air forwarding competitiveness.
